A study aimed to assess the impact of lifestyle modifications and a nutraceutical derived from beetroot on 24-hour blood pressure among individuals with high-normal blood pressure or grade 1 hypertension and low cardiovascular risk. The research involved 43 participants who underwent 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring before and after three months of receiving lifestyle guidance and the beetroot-based nutraceutical. The outcomes revealed a significant reduction in blood pressure levels post-intervention, primarily during the daytime. Moreover, there was an increase in the percentage of individuals achieving daytime blood pressure below the recommended threshold. These findings indicate that a combination of lifestyle changes and a nitric oxide-rich nutraceutical can serve as an effective initial non-pharmacological treatment for individuals with high-normal blood pressure or grade 1 hypertension and low cardiovascular risk.
